TEN-000 · Open-source functional food lab

We don't just serve the product. We publish the blueprint.

Tenon is a tiny back-alley café that runs like a lab. Every drink is documented the way a manufactured part is: ingredients, preparation, assembly and nutrition, published openly so anyone can reproduce it.

Function by design

Three levers

L-01

Protein

High-protein milk bases built from soy, whey and dairy. The protein type is chosen for density, foam and flavour as much as for grams.

13.8 gTenon Matcha, hot, per serving

L-02

Fibre

Whole ingredients consumed whole. Matcha is suspended, not steeped, so its fibre ends up in the cup.

2.6 gTenon Matcha, hot, per serving

L-03

Micronutrients

Minerals and vitamins tracked per serving against US FDA and Singapore HPB reference intakes. Unknown values stay unknown.

Featured blueprint

Tenon Matcha

6 variants

Ceremonial matcha over a high-protein milk base. No added sugar.

One build, every combination calculated. Swap the milk base or switch to iced and the nutrition, allergens and diet flags update from the ingredients up.

Principles

  1. P-01

    Taste first

Food and drinks must be genuinely enjoyable. Function never excuses a bad cup.

  2. P-02

    Function by design

Every build is engineered around three levers: protein, fibre and micronutrients.

  3. P-03

    Minimal ingredients

No unnecessary additives, fillers or flavour complexity. Whole foods wherever possible.

  4. P-04

    Radical transparency

Recipes, ingredients, specifications, preparation methods and sourcing are all published.

  5. P-05

    Open-source knowledge

Anyone should be able to replicate, adapt and improve what we make.

  6. P-06

    Engineering over marketing

We explain what goes into a product and how it works, not vague wellness claims.

The lab

A public beverage laboratory

Tiny, hidden in a back alley, limited hours. Come in, order a drink, and ask for the blueprint. We'll show you exactly how it's made.
